Power Plant

The Kimball Power Plant is an 8MW generating facility that is used for emergency and non-emergency electrical outages.

The Kimball Power Plant was the only source of electrical energy for the City of Kimball beginning in 1919.  In 1980, the electrical energy was purchased from outside sources and the plant was converted into backup generation.  Today the Kimball Power Plant is still capable of powering the entire City of Kimball.
