New Business Incentive Program

The New Business Incentive Program offers UP TO $500 in assistance for the first six months of business to assist pay for rent, mortgage, or utilities.  The City of Kimball understands the challenges and expenses that it takes to start up a new business and have come up with this program to help you succeed.  Statistics show that 20% of small businesses fail in their 1st year of operation with 30% failing in their 2nd year.  And of those small businesses only 40% can turn a profit while 30% break even and the remaining consistently lost money. This program is to help you get over those hurdles.

If you have a hobby or business idea but are unsure how to start, this program can help you.  Did you know that 1/3 of all small businesses get started with less than $5,000 and 58% with less than $25,000.  In addition, 65% of businesses that have started up were apprehensive that they money that had was going to be enough for start up.  We are here to help!  The program is considered a small business loan but if the business remains open for 2 years, the update to $3000 that was loaned will be forgiven.
